B-town Cyclists Legal Disclaimer
The purpose of the B-town Cyclists website and e-mail list is to allow cyclists to connect for rides. It is not a group or organization. The rides are open to all with the requisite cycling skill level required to participate safely, regardless of any individual characteristics. Everyone who attends a ride coordinated through B-town Cyclists does so at their own risk, and B-town Cyclists, on behalf of itself and its creators, administrators, and ride leaders, disclaims all liability for any harm that may result from attendance and participation, including but not limited to claims arising from the negligence on the part of B-town Cyclists. Each individual rider is responsible for knowing their health and fitness level in deciding whether they should go for a bike ride. Each individual rider is responsible for their own safety in terms of the mechanical fitness of their bicycle and the use of proper safety equipment, including but not limited to wearing a helmet at all times while riding. B-town Cyclists has no control over the behavior of other cyclists who attend a ride coordinated through the site. By signing up to receive emails about rides and/or attending a ride, each rider agrees that B-town Cyclists, and its creators, administrators, and ride leaders, is not liable for and has no responsibility for injury, loss, or damage that could result from engaging in an activity with inherent risks involved. By way of a non-exclusive list of examples, these risks may include collisions, falls, animal encounters, road hazards, mechanical failures, physical injury from overexertion, and weather-related hazards. You ride at your own risk.
